I’m posting this to say that July 31rd will be my last day at Legit MTG.
It’s been an incredible ride in the last 2 years at Legit MTG, but sadly its time to get off and let someone else get their chance.
I can still remember the day when Jonathan Medina asked around his twitter “army” for a logo project centered around his FNM Hero series. Took me almost an hour to kern out the letters, but it was exactly what John was looking for.
Little did I know, the wild success that would soon follow.
With awesome content ranging from FNM Hero to 20 Tweets, Legit MTG was able to create and expose the positive impact it made in our community. It allowed our community to communicate and network like never before. From live streaming Modern events, to interviewing members of the community; Legit MTG was out for the community first. That was our focus and that was the most beautiful part of the experience.
I am deeply honored to be a part of this magic that John created. I would like to thank everyone that helped me along my path.
Thank you Jonathan for the opportunities you’ve given me and the new opportunities that followed since. Your passion and energy has always been inspiring. Your voice in the pod casting community will always be missed.
To Heather-Dawn, who always had such a visionary path for us, always looking for new experiences and ways to interact with the community. Don’t ever stop being such an awesome person.
To everyone who has worked alongside me and helped table read my scripts for Tonkatsu Taco, such as Natasha Lewis Harrington. It’s been a pleasure entertaining everyone.
To Steve Argyle for encouraging me to draw through my depression, even under heavy legal issues with Hasbro. I would probably never have continued fan art if it weren’t for Steve.
And finally, to everyone on Twitter/Tumblr, you’ve been my reason for everything. Fandom is fun, but without the community it wouldn’t be much of anything else. You guys have always stuck by my side through the worst of it. You’ve helped me overcome my depression, my reliance of alcohol, and most importantly, finding love.
What happens now in the next chapter is a complete mystery. My love for Magic has always been a complicated one with lawyers and Playboy Playmates. I am not sure where Tonkatsu Taco will find a home, but I will still honor those that have won the contest months ago and will still continue to publish them on Tumblr.
Thanks again for all of your support guys. See you around!

Also, check out his store HERE! Lots of EDH/Commander stuff, RTR singles, etc… cheaper than the big 2 online stores.
I’ve been doing weekly illustrations for Legit MTG to supplement the original FNM Hero Series written by Johnathan Median?
